BEGINNING MEDITATION/DEVELOPING A SYSTEMATIC PRACTICE
This “how to” workshop will teach you to meditate using the classical yoga form, Superconscious Meditation. You will be guided through the essential first steps of entering awareness. You will learn meditation postures, the importance of breath, how to regulate it, and how to calm your mind while expanding your awareness.
MEDITATION FOR INNER RESILIENCE AND STRENGTH
How do you learn to ride the tide of your life in turbulent times? How do you flow with confusion and sometimes chaos? Daily meditation is an invaluable tool in your process. In this workshop, you will learn to be present to your life in both good and hard times. Cultivating a stance of personal leadership, you will begin to witness your thoughts, memories, feelings and habits with intention, courage and compassion. You will learn to go within, in the silence and let go, breath by breath. You become able to cope with the fears we all face: losing what we have and not getting what we want.
NO HOLE IN YOUR HEART, MEDITATION AND RECOVERY
It has been said that there are commonalities between meditation and addiction, that they just pursue different paths. Meditation goes within oneself to find peace; addiction tries to find it anyplace but inside. A regular and systematic practice of meditation teaches you that there is no need to fill the perceived hole in your heart with substance or another abuse. Indeed, there is no hole – only the peace, bliss and wisdom of your nature. In this workshop you will learn skills to augment your recovery. You will begin to come to yourself with self-compassion and courage. Using the most significant gift you possess, your breath, you will learn to calm, center and take charge of your life. Through the powerful tool of witnessing, you can begin to realize you are not your thoughts, feelings or experiences. You can detach from often painful memories and behaviors. You can choose- in the silence- clarity, creativity and emotional freedom. And, what you learn in the silence you can adapt to your everyday life.

Stress is generally recognized as the most detrimental workplace issue. Research indicates that a systematic practice of meditation is an ideal way to cope with stress. In this workshop you will learn to practice diaphragmatic breathing, to release stress, lower your blood pressure, and increase your vitality. You will learn techniques to calm and focus your energies and attention, and to take charge of your life. You will realize you are not your body, thoughts or feelings as you begin the artful practice of witnessing. PRACTICING MEDITATION ON YOUR SEAT -
LIVING MEDITATION IN THE WORLD (2 PART WORKSHOP)
This is a 2-part workshop. In Part One, you will experience a classical form of meditation. Step-by-step, you will learn to regulate your breathing, ease body tension, focus your attention and gradually develop inner peace.
In Part Two, we will examine what it means to practice meditation in action. We will explore yoga theory regarding training the mind, looking at how the ethics of yoga can deepen your experience. A consistent practice of meditation in action leads you to a fuller, more meaningful life.
GUIDED PRACTICE
These are shorter sessions, guided practices into the silence. Practitioners will be given a suggested intention and then will be led through the steps of meditation. Afterward all will remain in silence for a prescribed period. These sessions are offered as follow-ups to the workshops on a weekly basis - or another continuous period of time.
INDIVIDUAL WORKSHOPS/MEDITATION COACHING
